Who is responsible
Teoriklar is the theory practice service of your driving school. The school decides what your data is used for and is responsible for it (the controller). The company that runs Teoriklar processes the data on the school's behalf, under a data processing agreement.

What we store
- Your account: name, email address, phone number if the school added it, your login code, and your language.
- Your practice: which tests you were given, your answers, scores and when you took them.
- Sign-in and security: when you signed in, and the IP address and browser used, so we can stop someone trying to break in.
- Feedback you send us: the message, and your name and email if you give them.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind, and we do not sell or share your data for marketing.
Why, and on what legal basis
- To give you the theory practice that is part of your training with the school, and to let the school follow your progress. Basis: your agreement with the school (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
- To keep the service secure: sign-in records and security logs. Basis: legitimate interest in protecting your account and the service (art. 6(1)(f)).
How long we keep it
- Your account, results and feedback are deleted automatically 12 months after you last used Teoriklar or your access ended, whichever is later. The school can also delete you earlier.
- Failed and successful sign-in attempts: 30 days. Activity logs: 180 days, security events up to 2 years.
- Backups of the database are kept for up to 90 days, then deleted.
Who else handles your data
- Server hosting: the server that runs Teoriklar and stores the data is in the EU/EEA.
- Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France): sends the emails with your login code. Receives your name and email address.
Your data is not transferred outside the EU/EEA. Fonts and page components are served from Teoriklar itself, not from third parties.
Cookies
We only use cookies the service needs to work: one that keeps you signed in, one that remembers your language, and one that remembers that you have seen the "save your login" page. No tracking cookies, so there is nothing to accept or reject.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we have about you and get a copy of it, have it corrected, have it deleted, or object to how it is used. Contact the school; you get an answer within one month.
If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet): datatilsynet.no.
